CLARK STATE / Education & Research

The Clark State Community College’s performing arts facilities, lecture halls, auditoriums, and theaters required paint and finishes that were both functional and inviting. Specialty and acoustic finishes have been central to The Painting Company’s successful work on other comparable facilities across the Midwest, including the University of Cincinnati, the Southern Theatre, Marcus Cinemas, Crosswoods IMAX, and The Ohio State University Law Library, as well as a wide variety of public school auditoriums. The Painting Company has proved over and over that paint doesn’t just make spaces look better — it makes them sound better, too.

How did we access the walls and ceilings of a 3,000-seat performing arts center with sloped floors and tiered balconies?

The Painting Company coordinated with other trades, working out an agreement that allowed us to use an elaborate scaffolding that the drywall contractor had already constructed in the auditorium of the Clark State Community College Performing Arts Center. The scaffolding gave our team access to all surfaces and allowed the painting, drywall, mechanical, and electrical trades to all work simultaneously.

By taking the lead and working with others, The Painting Company was able to facilitate timely completion of the project for all the contractors involved.
