MIAMI UNIVERSITY / Sports & Fitness

Fitness clubs, university sports facilities, and community recreation centers require a special painting approach utilizing procedures and applications that can withstand high-traffic, multi-climate environments. Durability is of the utmost importance. The Painting Company has successfully completed projects for the Miami University recreational sports facility, the Ohio University recreational sports facility, and the Dublin Community Recreation Center, as well as country-wide projects for Bally’s Scandinavian Health Clubs and Q-Sports Clubs. When The Painting Company tackles a sports facility, we don’t just leave it looking great — we make sure it’s going to look that way for a long time.

WE PAINT THE PLACES WHERE WORKING OUT IS A WAY OF LIFE.

How did we prepare and paint the exposed structures 75 feet above Olympic-size swimming pools?

Since we were working over Miami University’s existing pools and the cost of building a scaffolding would have been prohibitive, The Painting Company got creative. Through coordination with university representatives and the project’s general contractor, a section of the exterior wall was left unfinished. This allowed us to use a 30-ton crane to place 80-foot boom lifts in the (unfilled) pools. Once our painting was completed, the wall went up without delay.

Through careful preplanning, The Painting Company avoided unnecessary costs, limited the risk of damage to the facility, and minimized interference with other parts of the project.
